Bunk Rooms

We have 9 Bunk Rooms available here at the Waiau Motor Camp, Canterbury.

Bunk rooms are each equipped with a single set of double bunks made up with sheets, blankets, pillows, duvets and towels and an electric heater. Other facilities include a communal kitchen, dining room, TV lounge and wireless internet..   3 of the bunk rooms have an internal door to the adjoining double bedroom for extended family facilities.

Waiau Motor Camp is  wheelchair accessible. We also provide a fully equipped communal kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and all other normal kitchenware. We also have a Dining room / TV lounge, playground, separate toilet and shower facilities, wireless internet, coin operated washing machine and dryer, BBQ,  & dump station.

The facilites are also suitable for Club & Group accomodation and to use as a base for activities & local touring etc.

Cut lunches and cooked meals are available on request (24 hours notice required).

Pets are welcome by prior arrangement (dogs to kept tied up at all times).

The Waiau river is famous for it's salmon and trout fishing.  The local golf course is situated approximately 5 k's from town.  Mt Lyford ski field, ice skating and horse trekking are approximately 15 minutes drive from the motor camp.

Meals are available (24 hours notice required).

Waiau is a small friendly country town of North Canterbury  which boasts a supermarket, cafe/dairy, two garages and a Hotel / Lodge.

Prices are:

Single adult is $25, additional adult sharing is $15 per night.  Children (5 to 13 years) are $10 each  per night.  Under 5's free when accompanied by adults.

DISCOUNT $2.50 FOR EACH ADULT PERSON STAYING 2 OR MORE NIGHTS

THE MOTORCAMP DOES NOT HAVE EFTPOS OR CREDIT CARD FACILITIES.
